5 Prayers for Your Girls in 2021

As the girls in your children’s ministry step into a New Year, 58% say they are uncertain or scared about their future.* In a world that is shaking, let’s pray these unshakeable truths for girls here, there, and everywhere!

1. Pray that every girl knows she is loved.

God, please let every girl know the unshakeable truth that there is never a question mark about Your great love for her. She is loved. Period. Amen.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (I John 3:1).

2. Pray that every girl knows she is not alone.

God, may every girl have the unshakeable truth-filled confidence that You are with her and for her. She is never alone. Amen.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

3. Pray that every girl knows she is strong.

God, infuse every girl with Your strength and the unshakeable truth that in Christ she can do all things. Amen.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13).

4. Pray that every girl knows she is forgiven.

God, our girls carry burdens of guilt and shame. Please let each one know the unshakeable truth that what she confesses, You forgive. You set her free! Amen.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

5. Pray that every girl knows she is a world changer.

God, our girls need us and our world needs our girls. May each girl live out the unshakeable truth that she can impact our world for You. Amen.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8).
